Sacred Geometry and the Goddess Within Fine Art Print by Jeanne Fry

The Goddess sees the intricate make-up of that which surrounds her, the symbolic meaning of each detail, and the Sacred Geometry that weaves them all together. When closing her eyes her spirit feels the richness of the fabric that constructs her own temple.

It is here that Healing comes forth for herself and those that she touches. She is the Divine Feminine, bringing the Healing Light of protection and peace to those she watches over.

The Portrayal of the Painting:
The colors of indigo and blues are used in the painting to bring forward a Soothing Serenity. The representation of the Moon and her Eyes being closed portray her intuitive sense. The Face that appears on the bodice of her dress stand for her Peace and Knowing. The Honey Amber Clouds in the sky are symbolic for her Creativity and Ability to bring things to Life - the Womb of Life of the Feminine. Her dress is created with Geometric Shapes to represent the Divine in Sacred Geometry.
The painting was done with acrylics on a 12x16 Canvas Panel.

The Original of this painting has sold. It is available as an Art Print in my Fine Art America online shop here

The Regeneration of Mother Earth

I continually marvel at (and am  grateful for) the ability of Mother Earth to adapt. We two-legged ones have not been very kind to her over the last several years. We have put undue stresses on her and been disrespectful to this place that we call home. She will occasionally tantrum, and yet she still reaches into her heart and finds away to work around our chaos.

She leaves answers for us in all of her work. When something is poisonous, she will have a remedy nearby. When something has been destroyed, she will heal it and bring new life.
I many times worry that she is taken for granted, and that someday her "fixes" may not be available.
This is what inspired my newest painting

She Listens in the Chasing the Goddess Series

"She Listens" is the third painting in my series "Chasing the Goddess". I will be writing extensively on the deepest meaning of the entire series when I get close to completion, but will give you some brief thoughts now.
She Listens, a Contemporary Folk Art Painting in the Chasing the Goddess series by Jeanne Fry

When I painted the first painting "The Divine Feminine", it came to my attention how so many connected with her, each having a different name for her and how they related. Some felt she was Mother Mary, others felt Mary Magdalene, some Guadalupe, and others likened her to Kuan Yin. To some extent they were all correct. In my heart, I feel that in the bigger picture they are all the same, it is her essence not her name that is the focus. She was the Goddess, the Divine Feminine. She is what we all connect with in the deepest part of us, whether you are a man or a woman. She is the authentic Feminine Energy, that brings a balance to our world, nature, spirituality, and the Universe.
Recently I was asked why the first three all have had their eyes closed. The series is a journey, of discovery and feeling. As it unfolds there will be changes in her as all of her aspects come together. The final painting in the Chasing the Goddess series, will have her eyes open, authentic...the source...the energy...to which we are all connected with.

"She Listens" is what we are being asked...to hear the messages we are being sent...to hear our own voice...to hear the voice of the world. She is a bit older in this version, with her hair turning grey. She has a sage wisdom within her from the oldest parts of her soul, where her intuitive self comes with a natural ease and stands in the forefront giving her a confident, pure, and compassionate heart.

Remembering Who You Are Goddess Divine Feminine Folk Art

I think that in every woman's life, (or at least every woman that I know), there comes a point when you begin to feel fragmented. Those feelings and questions to our inner self come up, asking "Where did I go?" "Has anyone seen those little pieces of me?"
Along the way, we often lose pieces of ourselves...some we gave up thinking we were doing so for the better good...some just got lost here and there. Life changes and relationships, give and take, and compromises can all lead to dropping these little pieces of ourselves until soon we begin to feel empty and may not even recognize who we are. When we reach this point, we often start taking inventory of our life and set out on a journey of self discovery and self recovery.
This time of life is what inspired my most recent painting, "Remembering Who You Are".
"Remembering Who You Are" a spiritual art painting by Jeanne Fry
"Remember Who You Are" is a contemporary folk art painting, full of spiritual symbolism, by Jeanne Fry. The painting is inspired by the Divine Feminine and the Goddesses that existed in another time. It is a reminder to those who are on their spiritual journey to reclaim those pieces of themselves that they have lost or forgotten along the way...to complete their portrait of "oneness" within. It is a call to honor our complex spirit, the light and the dark, the happy and the sad, and bring forth our authenticity of self.

This painting is dedicated to all of my goddess sisters, in gratefulness for how we support one another.

The Divine Feminine ~ Personal Portraits in our Mind's Eye

Everyone has a different concept or image in their mind of how the Divine Feminine is represented. My thoughts have been on this recently and I was inspired by a quote that I had read

"When you feel you are being moved by the creative spirit, you are in fact being moved by the divine feminine." Teri Degler

And so, my painting began and continued non-stop until completion of what I see in my mind and soul when I think of the Feminine Divine.

The original painting of the Divine Feminine is not available any longer, although you can order prints and greeting cards of her in my Fine Art America studio here Prints of the Divine Feminine
